Attention! Sherlock Holmes Weekend

Hello fellow Sherlock fans.  Just a quick heads up to let you know the UK channel UKTVDRAMA is having a Sherlock Holmes this weekend, the 24-25 May.

Sadly, I don’t think it includes Jeremy, but it does have at least some of the classics, and a couple of the more recent adaptations which are quite good.  If you watch ‘The Case of the Silk Stocking’ with Rupert Everett, watch out for the funeral scenes, this was filmed at Kensal Rise cemetary, which has catacombs you can visit.  Yep, I’ve been there

I like the new one with Richard Roxburgh, personally.  Set your reminders!  Here’s a link to the UKTVDRAMA page.

  1. Hooray! I shall now have to get rid of the folks so I can watch it on the big telly :)

  2. So, did you see it, what did you think?!

  3. No the parents are evil and they conspired with sky so that sky plus wouldn’t tape them :(

  4. Sherlock Holmes weekend? I didn’t know that. What a coincidence I just this morning put up a picture of Sherlock Holmes at the pub. You must be psychic.

    Or something.

  5. Hello. I was told that if I had a complaint about the type of pictures being displayed on the BritshSpeak Pub blog, that I should make a post on your blog, and someone here would take care of the complaint for me.

I have two complaints that I wish you would address. First, of course are the vile pictures being put on display which demean and objectify women. Second, I would like to complain about the foul language and insulting manner of the blog’s terrible owner, that stupid little dog.

    Thank you for your help.

  6. Thanks Sandee

Methinks you mean psychotic Max…speaking of that, I have a strange feeling that you know Candy very, very well…
