Craigievar Castle

Posted by Alison under: History; Photos; Places to go .

The top of the castle, from the trees outside.  This castle is in a very remote setting, and very interesting, with ghost stories.

Great picture, Alison! I like how the foliage competes with the ripples (stuck for the real word) of the castle for my attention.

I haven’t gotten my WW up yet, so it might turn into WT (Thursday). This photo reminds me of going to Frankenstein Castle in Germany. Maybe I can dig out some of my older pictures.

I was too busy this week for WW, so I’m glad some of you enjoyed this one anyway. I see you fell in with my evil plan Melissa!

It’s not at all remote only if you live in the middle of a big city. We go there quite ofte for a day out

I don’t live in the city, but it is one of the more remote castles in this area. If you go quite often, you must be sad that it’s shut until 2009. Still, restoration must be done…
