Did I Mention Castle Fraser is Also a Film Star?

I finally got a chance to watch the film The Queen with Helen Mirren the other day, as I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy it or not. For those of you who don’t know anything about it, it is about the week after Diana, Princess of Wales was killed in a car crash in 1997, and how the Queen dealt with this.

For those of you that have seen it, remember the stag? The one where the Queen is stranded by the river and sees it on the hills? Castle Fraser is the place she visits when she learns that hunters have killed it. You get to see the castle from the driveway, and the Queen walks into the Courtyard, speaking to a man who is actually walking out from our shop!

So, if you haven’t seen it, give it a try, I really enjoyed it, and if you have, take a nosy at that scene again!!

Happy New Year…one day late! Sounds like you had a very cold but nice holiday there in Scotland. I have not yet seen The Queen yet, but I love Helen Mirren. I just watched a Prime Suspect with her in it before leaving on our CA vacation. Truthfully, I prefer Helen even more then Judy Dench, and that is going some.
