Eleanor’s First Blogoversary

Happy anniversary to us! I can’t believe we’ve been here a year already. Thanks to all of my visitors and commentors, past and present. I won’t mention you all by name here, as I will do another post shortly with love-linkage for you all.

I decided to do a part giveaway, part competition if you like. Below is a short poll of the main things that I post here. I could have put in lots of different things, but decided to keep it relatively short!

Please participate by letting me know what are your favourite things here. Plus, I would also like to know what you would like to see more of, or a suggestion of a post you would like me to write. All are welcome to take part in the poll, but please leave me a comment if you wish to be included in the draw.

In return, the 3 runners up will receive a guide book of Castle Fraser. My second favourite suggestion will receive a guide book and booklet ‘Life at Castle Fraser 150 Years Ago’. Top suggestion or comment will receive a guide, booklet, magnet and thimble plus some heather seeds, all purchased with my own fair hands.

Hope this makes sense, but feel free to email me about it if not. Also, keep the suggestions coming for a new website design for the main pages. I am working on ideas at the moment, and hope to include a permanent castle page for all the latest news.

Thanks for coming, here’s to another year at EleanorBlog!

Thanks to all of you who voted, the poll has now closed.ย  Feel free to keep leaving your comments though.

    • Thank you all for your lovely comments and wishes, Eleanor and I are blushing furiously!

There’s been some great ideas coming too, I think I have some ideas about some new stuff that will be appearing here soon hopefully. Thanks for voting, I’ll leave the vote button until the end of the weekend, then post the results next week. Sorry about there not being an ‘all of the above button’ or an option for multi-choice, not used these poll people before, but you are all welcome to tell me anything you can’t vote on in the comments!

Hello and welcome Ellen, yes that is the castle I work at, Castle Fraser, and it is one of my own photos. Glad you like it, there are a few others here if you feel like browsing, thanks for coming

Finally, I have now posted a picture of the prizes. So Chris can bog off now ๐Ÿ˜›

  1. I love reading your posts on historic people; it’s what drew me to your blog in the first place. I’d also LOVE LOVE LOVE to see photos of the castles, or your area, anything! I love learning about new places and your work seems so interesting!

Congratulations on your first year, and may you have many happy successive years! Cheers!

  2. Congratulations and happy blogoversary! It’s quite an accomplishment to reach this age and still e going strong!

    Keep up the great work!

  3. Happy 1st year! Congratulations!

All of your posts are fab! Its great that you blog about all-sorts, it keeps it fresh and interesting, but i’d like to see more about the castle, i know its difficult to get photos of historical interiors, but if you could get permission, that would be amazing, also just to be a bit random…bats (so cute!) & spooky goings on? ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Happy Blogoversary. I’d like to see more of any old buildings. Also the old clothes, the gowns they would have worn. Tools people used for things we may not even do any more.

  5. I’ve been dropping by your blog often lately and I just love the photo in your header. Is it the castle that you work at? Each time I see it I immediately feel transported to your country.
Thanks for sharing the photo and I’ll continue to drop by to see you!!
