I Used to Love Beauty and the Beast

I’d forgotten just how much! Any more of you out there that used to watch this 80s series starring Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman?
I was probably a little young to watch it, but I remember it really intrigued me at the time. I don’t ever think I saw the first episode, so I wasn’t aware of just quite how Catherine was attacked so that Vincent could rescue her, but I loved seeing them help people each week…plus of course the falling in love part. Them or me? Hmm, not so sure, I think I fell a little in love with Vincent too.
Don’t ever think I saw the final episode either. If this is on DVD I’m buying it! The good news is they’ve started repeating it on one the TV channels I watch. Bad news is they’re already on episode 11 and I’ve missed loads. Sigh.

An oldie but goodie - I remember that show! Used to watch it too. Once a channel gets a show they usually repeat it a lot, so you can probably catch the other episodes too.

Oh! I do remember this although I don’t think I got to see anywhere near all the episodes. I do hop you get to see the ones you’ve missed.
Nowadays I watch very little TV. That’s more my husband’s thing and he’s mostly into sports and Westerns neither of which hold much appeal for me. I am usually reading or on the computer.

We used to watch it all the time too. I think from the beginning, but I don’t remember the premise of the first episode other than he rescued her, as you say. Ron Perlman did an excellent job portraying the ‘monster’. It seems like by the last episodes they were running out of good story lines and it got a little goofy. That could just be me though. Goofy. LOL

I remember that series too! Loved it as well and hadn’t seen it in a long time. You’re right, I haven’t seen it on DVD either. It would be a great way to introduce it to my daughter. She’s been into 80’s shows lately.

I remember watching it on the small TV in the kitchen with my mom. Whenever I see Linda Hamilton or Ron Perlman now, I think, “Oh yeah, from Beauty and the Beast!” Must have made an impression.

I have been watching it, and I still love this show! Even the theme tune gives me goosebumps.
I’ve looked into it, and I think it was released on DVD region 1 in 2007, so I’d have to order is specially here. Thankfully I have a multi-region player too.
I’m so glad there are so many of you out there who loved it too!

I was still a drooling zygote in those days but the show’s theme stuck to me as One Great Song. It’s sooo fabulous to hear it again today! Thanks for letting me stumble here. Love it!
