A quick note to any Sharpe fans out there. Sean Bean has completed another drama based on Bernard Cornwell’s books.
Sharpe’s Peril will be showing in the UK on ITV1 in November, with a DVD release set for December.
I will post a video as soon as there are any promos about.
Talking of Autumn/Winter TV drama, there is also going to be a drama showing in November set during the 17 Century Civil War. I have lost my note of its name, but as before, will post promos when I find them.

Hello! I think your blog is beautiful and your template at the top is a dream of mine!!
Being a direct decendant from England (original name was Townsend) I have “her” running through my veins. I’m so glad to have found you and thank you for advertising on my blog. With gratitude, Laurie B.
Thanks Laurie!Caroline and Jams, I loved the original episodes of Sharpe, though I never really explored the books much. Can anyone tell me if there was an officer by the name of Fraser in any of them? Aubrey Maturin, is that Patrick O’Brian? Yes this one is India too.I’m sure they must be showing Sharpe elsewhere? I know you can get all of the DVDs now, not sure about regions, but worth a try! I did see the complete box set the other day in a sale for £30 too. Check out the trailer!
oh my gosh, I love Sharpe. I wish that the showed it over here. Guess I’ll just have to wait for the DVD.
Looking forward to it. The Sharpe books are enjoyable even if not a patch on say the Aubrey Maturin series. Another one in India? I would like to see Sharpe’s Devil done. I would love to see who plays Lord Cochrane
Well, I’m “stuck” in the states … and in the hillsy-backwoods of east central Kentucky, so I am out of the loop on all this.
