    Oh those dresses! And the ladies too. I love this stuff. Can you imagine how hard it was to iron something like those dresses. The chapeaus are to die for. Not only are the subjects interesting, but the backgrounds are too. You are going to make me get out some more old pictures, aren’t you? :wink:

    When I imagine wearing something like this, I always imagine a servant to look after it for me :wink:

  3. Its amazing anyone survived back then. The whalebone corsets alone! I love these old photographs.

    I absolutely love the dress in the third one. So buttoned and tucked and folded. Looks like it took ages to get ready.

    Actually many women were greatly harmed by corsets back then, but still I love the clothes…I know what you mean Melissa, I particularly like that one too.
