Another great photo Alison. The house looks familiar but I can’t place it.
This photo reminds me of King Louis VXI. Am I wrong?
Thanks for sharing your pic!
Happy WW!
Loving the Sepia
Reminds me of an old school, but I’m sure it’s something bigger.
beautiful
wow–looks like the place where I attended primary school. Have a great Wednesday.
Wonderful photograph. The sepia effect lends to the enchantment of the building. Happy WW

Beautiful building! I always enjoy you WW entries ..
I love the coloring you chose. I would love to live there. (But I wouldn’t like to live there without several housekeepers.)
its a beautiful building but “imposing” is the first word it brings to mind
I’m fantasizing of walking down those steps in a sweeping silk gown & a powdered wig…
Hmmm – maybe I lived here in a former life?
Oh lovely castle! Thanks for sharing and Happy WW.

What a beautiful photo! I love the coloring you used.
It seems I have seen this house in an Agatha Christie movie, or maybe even Masterpiece Theater? Looks familiar to me too. Oh, I know why…because I would like to LIVE there!
Such a grand building. Are you going to tell us what it is?
This is beautiful, but all your WW posts are. So rich in history. I could live here. I think it’s big enough. Have a great WW.
Another wonderful picture of a building, and a great use of color
This week we are actually at an art gallery – Duff House, Banff, Scotland. Formally a private home, hospital, hotel, POW camp and finally a billet for Polish and Norwegian soldiers.
This was one of the ancestral homes of the Dukes of Fife, notable for marrying into the Royal Family and was sold off in 1906 due to money difficulties. It has had a sad time until 10 years ago when it was fully refurbished as an art gallery.
Thanks for visiting and your kind comments.
You have such wonderful buildings in your country!
Gorgeous house, reminds me a bit of the side view of Castle Howard from Brideshead.
Linked to you!
Love it! My friend just got back from Scotland and only had about 3000 pics taken of castle after castle. I didn’t mind sifting through them with her though, as it’s always been a dream of mine to go there! great pic for WW!
