    This week you’re looking at 2 tudor halls. The intact one is Hardwick Hall, the ruined one is Hardwick Old Hall! Their builder Bess of Hardwick (a remarkable woman of her time) decided the original hall wasn’t good enough, so built another one across the road! She also built Chatsworth House so was quite prolific.

  37. Its a long time since I last went to HH. Really nice picture brought back lots of memories and not just being told off by a security guard for getting too close to one of those ropes they put round exhibits!
