Ha your back! that is a great shot. Did you have to squish right against the wall to get the shot?

Woo hoo, I’m back up! Thanks to those who made it.
It’s Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire England.
No, I don’t remember being squished Claire!
If memory serves I was standing on a wall or steps or something.

I love looking at pictures from across the sea; I get to look at things I’ll probably never see in person.

Between you and Chris, you are probably doing more to promote the UK than Fodors.

I thought at first it was like a photo I have of a building in Beechworth Australia, then the left side showed up and I thought, oh it’s a castle lol.

Wonderful perspective, I like the way each element leads my eye down the wall. This is one of those pictures I could look at again and again and see something new every time!

Wow, thanks for visiting and your comments!
I always wanted my own castle too, but maybe that’s coming true now
I took the photo, I think, whilst balanced on some steps, the building is mostly ruined but still majestic. It was lived in as recently as the 1820s, but then left to disrepair. I love to get my pictures of historic places out into the world for everyone to see, and I do hope that we continue to save as many as possible. We lost far too many in England in the 1920s and 30s.
No Budgies were harmed in the making of this post (Stine).
Oh, and the cafe’s lovely…

HEY!
You asked about the picture I submitted for WW today.
The structure USED to be a fountain, I think, before I was born. I’m 28, now!
It’s about 30 minutes from our house on a little back road. Go figure!
Thanks for your interest and for stopping by “OSOMOLOVEâ€.
Happy Wednesday!

Thanks JennieBoo, I remember the one. How strange, doesn’t look like it should be! Wonder how old it is now too, might have to research it… ![]()
