I like seeing your pictures of these ancient structures as I will probably not see them in person. Thank you

Thanks for coming!
I took this picture while walking along the battlements of Lincoln Castle, Lincoln, England. For once, this castle is mostly intact and with the addition of a Victorian block was used as a prison and a place of execution. It also still has a working court building nearby (a Georgian building I believe) and has connections to Eleanor. One of the 12 crosses was situated on Cross o Cliff on the hill and a fragment can be seen in the grounds of the castle. You can also see Lincoln Cathedral, where her body rested from the Castle, and on the outside of the cathedral there is a statue of Edward and Eleanor. Lastly, Eleanor viscera lie here in a reproduction of the original medieval tomb.

There are a lot of beautiful castles in England. I have seen quite a few at the South East coast.
